Just had a call from a friend in Denver as of this Saturday there will be no more Rocky Mountain News and he will be out of a job. Executives from E.W. Scripps Co., announced today their decision on the future of the Rocky Mountain News in the 150-year-old newspaper’s newsroom in Denver. This past December, the Rocky’s parent company put the paper up for sale, citing multi-million dollar annual losses.
