Moratorium On Negativity: Day 3

Several more people contacted me yesterday to say they are joining the moratorium. Already, some are reporting that they’ve noticed a positive difference. Is this just an emotional reaction? Sure it is. Almost all reactions are emotional. We as humans are emotional creatures. Since we’re going to experience emotion, why not participate in activities that will cause those emotional experiences to be positive?

I have worked very hard for the last few days to avoid making negative statements. If you’ve done this as well, you’ve probably noticed that one of two things has happened: You may find that you aren’t talking as much. Or, it may be that the amount of conversation hasn’t changed but the quality of conversation has improved. It seems to me that there are benefits to either response.
