Twelve days after Framing Faith has been released, there are no drummers drumming, but I’m blown away by how this book is resonating with so many people all over the world.
Like most artists, I create from a place of vulnerability out of deep care for my audience in hopes that it takes root and cause self-examination. I realized in the process of writing Framing Faith, the present moment is all we have; that the life we are living is about the here and the now. And while, we don’t think about that when the intensity of life is breathing down our back, it’s a great way to take advantage of our life and to find a sense of peace and calm in the middle of a stressful and chaotic world. Framing Faith was a cautionary letter to myself in hopes I would just learn to STOP! To take notice. To re-examine my schedule and priorities. To slow down and discover the beauty that is right in front of me in the subtle moments of life.
The greatest moments in life are the ones right in front of you.
I cannot thank you enough for reading and sharing your stories, photos, and tweets about the messages that hit home the most. I’m genuinely touched there are others moved by this cautionary letter and calling to live in the moment, to be connected to the present and those who are in front of us, not distracted by the four corners of our screens. Thank you for seeing the need to get rid of the distractions, boot down, turn off the TV, set down your phone and force yourself to slow down, do less and live slowly.
