Baggage

baggage

I love to travel. So does my family.  Working in TV I got to travel to and cover some amazing stories. Traveling in TV is not an easy task, nor is it something which is light. I remember my last trip to Europe I took seventeen 18.43″ x 14.00″ x 7.62″ Pelican Case full of equipment, that didn’t include my personal luggage. Whoa, I know.

Although I still travel quite a lot, I still have a tendency to take too much luggage. Invariably, I discover that we don’t need everything I’ve have carried along but still have to carry it.  It becomes a burden throughout my trips.

Isn’t life like that?  We carry along excess baggage that we don’t need and it increases the difficulty of our journey.  The baggage might be anger, bitterness, lack of forgiveness, or just plain negative thinking.  We certainly don’t need those attitudes to have a successful journey and they really add to the burden. Maybe we ought to get rid of that excess baggage.
